Transition from Faculty/Staff to Student Family Residence

In support of the University's commitment to accommodate more student families in on-campus residence, UBC Student Housing and Hospitality Services will begin to transition University Apartments (Point Grey Apartments, Spirit Park Apartments, Sopron House, Acadia House) from a faculty/staff to student family residence, effective December 15, 2010.

What does this mean if your contract began before Dec. 15, 2010?

We are committed to honouring your current Residence Agreement. Additionally you remain eligible for another contract until your 3-year maximum tenancy has been reached.

What does this change mean if you are a faculty or staff member and are interested in on-campus rental accommodation?

• Effective December 15, 2010, UBC Student Housing and Hospitality Services no longer accepts applications for faculty/staff housing. We are pleased to refer you to Village Gate Homes who will continue to provide on-campus rental accommodation to faculty and staff.
