Don't delay - put these events in your daytimer today.

Saturday, August 31 - Opening Day

9am – 4pm: Move-in, unpack and get settled

5pm – 7pm: “Storm the Caf” - dinner with your floor. Time to make more connections with others living on your floor.

8pm – 9pm: Floor Meeting – This is the time to meet your floor-mates and hear the basics about community living in rez. All questions welcome!

Sunday, September 1

Morning: Make sure that your parent(s) have pre-registered to attend Residence Parent Orientation. You can spend the morning hanging out with your floor, exploring campus and picking up your textbooks you've pre-ordered from the UBC Bookstore's Textbook Reservation Service.

Afternoon: Select from a variety of activities in residence, including recreational sports, campus tours, and much more.

5pm – 7pm: First dinner with your floor. A MUST! (Check with your Advisor for your floor’s dinner time.)

8pm – 10pm: House (Dessert) Social - always a popular event!

Monday, September 3

During the day: Take time to explore campus with others from your floor or faculty. This is your chance to figure out your way and walk-time to classes and prepare for the first day of school.

8pm – 10pm: House Meeting. Attendance is expected. Meet your House’s Residence Coordinator, other Advisors, House President; hear about residence standards, and important things to know to ensure a successful year in residence. Get answers to any final questions about Imagine UBC and your MUG’s meeting spot for Tuesday morning – your first official day of classes!

Tuesday, Sept. 3 – Saturday, Sept. 7

Sunday, September 9

8pm – 10pm: Roommate Bootcamp (attendance is mandatory if you have a roommate). Attend Roommate Bootcamp together and set yourselves up for success. Learn how to manage future misunderstandings or conflicts.
